The Story of a dyslexic penguin who discovers how to understand his dyslexia.
‘All you need is a little yellow light…’
Open scene: Act 1
Image: The penguin school nation school
Sound: wind blowing, kids laughing, grass moving.
The bell rings and then
Cuts to being inside.
Scene 2:part 1
Entry into the classroom
Get a view of what the classroom looks like
Sounds: children talking
All the students come in and enter the classroom and go and find their seats.
Part 2
Joe enters the classroom (nervous, shy looking around at the classroom)
Sound: children are still talking and the piano starts to lightly play in the background.
Cut to close off him looking really confused.
Background changes to how the view of how a dyslexic person would see it.
Joe walks in his way and finds his set.
Scene 3
Cut to front view of the classroom with the teacher.
Teacher: morning everyone.
Class: Good morning miss…
teacher: so class on the teacher list we are going to be doing maths science and English today.First starting off with Maths.
Now if we take out book and open them to page 64 and we are going to be looking alagber.
Joe face changes and becomes very distressed and confused his eyes become a lot smaller and look really intense.
Teacher:now class what is a? If a+b+c is = to abc
C=7 and b=9 and abc is = 19 how would workout a?
Joe face become more distress starts to be little crying stressed sound and looks around the swirl then appears on his head to show the confusion.
Classmates all loud noise shouting over change, body language big moving around a lot hands all in the air.
Joe small and closed in body lamaguage amd become small in himself .
The teacher continue talking in background, the classroom continue to be loud in quieter volume.
Deep paino starts to play and the words from joes book start to play around the room and start to come alive.
Joe looks around at all the words flying around.
Joe then slams head on table.
Camera voozom in his head into the swirl on the table and cut when it get too closes.
Scene 4
Enter a new world.
Everything is black and Joe is in a room walking around.
There is nothing there.
Empty music is playing.
Then all quotes in all the letters and numbers that fall in one big swipe.
Joe is then come over come by all the letter and numbers like a sea.
He is swimming through all the letters.
Fast peaced panini music is playing the background
Joe: struggling to breath and shouting and keep swelling letters and then spitting them back out.
Letter and number are moving around quickly like an ocean and very intensely.
The music intense grows.
A light shines in with a glow and shines a yellow light.
Then a yellow piece of paper comes in and starts flying around and over the scene.
The light fills the scene.
The yellow paper start to fly around the sea of letters jumping in and out.
As it flys around joe eye contact remains in the paper.
Cut then the paper stoppojng infront of joe.
Joe and the yellow piece of paper have a moment having a standoff.
Yellow paper gets brighter.
Yellow paper: come with me I will save you.
Joe grabs the paper.
Close up of them getting pulled through the water joe with close eyes.
Cut to a wide angle of the two of them bursting through the water.
Scene 5
Hello yellowland.
Joeband the yellownpaper enter into the yellow the world.
Both looking around.
Joe eye open up wider as he is looking around in amazement, and squeaking.
Joe: squeeze squeeze squeeze.
Yellow pape: the reason i have brought you here us because i am where to show that all you need is a little yellow will be come clear.
Joe looks lost at the yellow paper.
Wind following in the background.
Yellow paper: put the yellow ilm over the writing all will become clear.
Joe looks downs and see he is holding the question and put the film over the paper.
Lights start to flash and cut to jow eye looking big and bright.
A slow zoom out to see the excited on his face.
Jow starts jumping uo and down squeaking loud out of joy.
Scene 6
Cut back into the classroom.
Joe lok around surprised.
Looks down and see he is holding the yellow film on his book and is able to read the question.
Teacher: so does anyone know what a is?
Everyone out they hands screaming including joe.
Body language is more open and excited.
Everyone in the classroom is shocked looking at joe.
Teacher: yes joe do you have an idea?
Joe: squakea squeaks sqaukes
teacher :yes joe you got it!
Joe big smile on his face of oure joy and excitement.
Cut to the turtle screen… all you neeed is a little yellow.
